Website recovery

When your website stops working, the first job is to identify the cause. Recovery and redesign are different decisions. We do not assume an outage means you need a new website.

Discuss website recovery

Start with the failure, not a replacement

A domain or DNS change, hosting issue, expired certificate, broken update or application error can make a site unavailable. We review the symptoms and the access available before proposing the investigation.

A careful recovery process

We establish what changed, preserve available backups and investigate the affected layer. Repair work is agreed before it begins. Where possible, changes are checked away from the live site and the restored pages and key contact paths are tested.

Access and limits

We may need authorized access to the domain registrar, hosting account or website administrator. Do not send passwords through the contact form. Recovery depends on the cause, available backups and third-party access; we cannot guarantee every site can be restored.

After the website is back

We can discuss updates, backups or a redesign separately if they address a genuine need. A recovery inquiry is not a 24/7 support contract or a guaranteed emergency response. Explain the issue and we will discuss scope, availability and cost.
